Andrew is best known for his representational food pieces, but his curiosity about the aesthetics and content of art is reflected in a varied approach to subjects and styles.

Using both figurative and abstract forms to expand his own boundaries, Andrew pursues his interest in the medium of oil painting. He combines thin washes glazes and impasto, in his traditional still life and landscapes, while his graphic arts background is a major influence on the non-representational works.
